This past Sunday, Feb. 17th. We went to visit our friends, Glen and Sandra...and their beautiful lil girl, Ava, at Medical City of Dallas. Ava is growing so strong. She was a little over 2 weeks on Sunday. She is the little miracle with whom God has blessed Glen and Sandra. She was born at almost 32 weeks. She came out a little fighter. Praise God, she never need a ventilator!
I got to hold Ava, and watch as her parents gave her a feeding. Curran was bummed that he didn't get to see his pal, but sent his hugs and kisses via his mommy. We hope she gets to come home within a couple of weeks.
After saying our goodbyes to The Rowes, we headed off on a little gourmet adventure...spearheaded by none other than Mr. "Chez" James. With our big cooler in tow, we loaded up on all the healthy, organic goodies from Whole Foods...and then, on to Central Market...where we got some healthy...and some not so healthy goodies. James, leading the pack, was like a little kid in a candy store. Did I mention that man can cook?! Curran, meanwhile, was soaking in the whole scene...at times, found the need for a power nap here and there. With our cooler filled and our bellies full of homemade chicken tamales, we gleefully headed to our home in the "country". Ok, so our town is not COMPLETELY "country". Truth be told, we love it here. :)
